Sierpinski Canopy

Take the fractal tree and make it 3-dimensional, making each split go three ways instead of two. Then, don’t draw anything except for the very top layer. The result has distinct similarities to the Sierpinski triangle, as does the fractal triangle.

The shadow is created with a negative light source - one that takes away light instead of adding it. There is nothing in nature that does anthing like that, but it makes a different effect for this kind of image.
